Dark Terrors 2 A non-themed collection of contemporary horror, featuring a real mixture of talent. Contains the surreal Absolute Zero by James Miller, an effective story about a mysterious disappearance; Negative Equity by Paul J. MacCauley, a story about a couple who take a lot of risks during the property booms and busts of the eighties yet remain strangely undamaged by it all; Underbed by Graham Masterton; an incredible fantasy about a boys noctural imaginings; and best of the lot: Where the Bodies are Buried 2020 by Kim Newman. The latest installment of his series of satires on the demonisation of horror; a sharp and quite brilliant piece of work. There are other good stories by Ramsey Campbell, Brian Lumley, Harlan Ellison, Caitlan R. Kiernan and others. Not a bad one in the bunch. [in print - UK]
