The Liverpool born ex-Librarian Ramsey Campbell began as a writer of Mythos fiction under the influence of Lovecraft and the guidance of August Derleth. Quickly though, much to Derleth's distain, he moved on to create his own original brand of psychological horror fiction. He is still going strong, writing both novels and short stories which chart the darker areas of human consciousness. As a short fiction writer he has been extremely prolific, and the list here is but a subset of hugh number of tales he has had published. The quality of the tales varies, but all have the same terrifying atmosphere which enthuses everything he writes, even his most innocent scenes breathe tension. Special thanks go to Bobby Bickert for assistance in assembling this bibliography.
